Wortsuche Rätsel

Wortsuche Rätsel is a word search, and its name is simply German for a word search puzzle. The goal is the classic one: find every word listed beside the puzzle grid. The words are hidden among the letters, and they can run in any direction — horizontally, vertically, diagonally and even backwards.

Both the title and the description are in German, so expect the word lists to be German as well. That makes it a natural fit for German speakers, and a useful practice tool for learners of the language: scanning a grid for a word forces you to hold its exact spelling in mind, letter by letter, which is a good way to fix new vocabulary.

There is a daily rhythm built in. A calendar gives access to further puzzles, and the game encourages you to come back every day for at least a few minutes to train your mind. The description names brain training, vocabulary and pattern recognition as the skills it works on, and a short daily search is an easy habit to keep.

Look for rare letters such as Q, X or Y first. A word containing one is much easier to pin down than one made of common letters.
