Lingo Dreams

Lingo Dreams is a language-learning game disguised as a puzzle. Each level gives you words in your native language and words in English, and the task is to find the correct pairs between them. Complete all the matches and the level is done, with a few more English words committed to memory along the way.

Matching is a sensible way to learn vocabulary. Rather than translating from scratch, you recognise the right answer among a set of options, which is easier at the start and still makes you think about meaning. Repeating that across many levels is a gentle form of regular practice, the same principle behind flashcards.

2. Find the English word that means the same thing.
3. Match each pair correctly.
4. Finish all the pairs to complete the level.

Say each English word aloud once you have matched it. Hearing the word as well as seeing it helps it stay with you after the level ends.
