Tips & Tricks
Leave the snow until everything else is placed. Its pieces are interchangeable by eye but not by shape, and shape is much easier to judge in a small remaining pile.

Yes, the set unlocks in order — finishing the picture in front of you is what opens the following one.
Why is the snow harder than the rest of the picture?
Because a large white area gives no colour information, so those pieces have to be placed by shape once everything else is down.
