Tiles of the Unexpected

Make as many combinations as possible within the wall of tiles by removing groups of identical ones. There are various layers of tiles, but you can combine them if they are adjacent. Tiles with nothing left underneath will fall down, and can make extra combos automatically. Combos created this way grant you bombs that you can use for single tiles. When you are out of moves, the cursor will switch to the bombs.

Controls

Click a group of identical adjacent tiles to remove it.

How to Play

  1. Look for identical tiles that touch, including across layers.
  2. Click the group to remove it.
  3. Clear small groups that expose larger ones behind.
  4. Take down as much of the wall as you can.

Tips & Tricks

Check what is behind a group before taking it. The layers are where the big combinations hide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can tiles from different layers be combined?

Yes, when they are adjacent — which is the mechanic that separates this from an ordinary flat clearing board.

How is this different from the sequel?

The sequel refines the controls and changes the presentation; this original is the plainer version of the same layered wall.
