Eatable Numbers

Eatable Numbers is a quick reflex game built on a single comparison. A red object sits in the centre of the screen with a number of its own, and there are blue objects carrying numbers too. Your job is to hit the red one into a blue object whose number is smaller, which earns you points.

The danger is the opposite case. Hitting a blue object with a bigger number is the mistake the description warns about, so every move is a split-second decision: is this one smaller or larger than mine? The rule is simple enough for a child to grasp, but applying it fast is another matter.

That is where the pressure comes from. The game gradually increases its speed, and the description admits the aim is to make you confused. What starts as a relaxed comparison becomes a test of how quickly you can read two numbers and react. It is a casual game for short bursts, and a sneaky way to practise comparing numbers.

Controls

Click or tap to send the red object towards a target.

How to Play

  1. Look at the number on the red object in the centre.
  2. Find a blue object with a smaller number.
  3. Hit the red object into it to earn points.
  4. Avoid blue objects with bigger numbers as the speed increases.

Tips & Tricks

Decide on your target before you move. Hesitating at higher speed is how a bigger number ends up being the one you hit.

Frequently Asked Questions
